Crown and Bridge

IPS e.max®

The IPS e.max® system allows you to select the most suitable all-ceramic material, depending on the indication at hand and the required strength of the restoration. IPS e.max® can be used for anterior and posterior crowns, onlays, inlays and veneers. The system comprises of a single veneering ceramic which offers decisive advantages in combination work (lithium disilicate and oxide ceramics).

IPS e.max® offers exceptional aesthetics, versatility, and clinically-proven strength. Therefore, the same aesthetic appearance is achieved throughout the different parts of the restoration. Due to their natural-looking colour and optimal light transmission, lithium disilicate restorations offer highly aesthetic solutions.

Monolithic Zirconia

Monolithic Zirconia unites excellent optical properties with high strength. It is the ideal material for the fabrication of aesthetic restorations composed of up to 14 units. The material is suitable for the creation of full-contour restorations – primarily in the posterior region – and restoration frameworks. It can also be used to produce combinations consisting of monolithic, partially and fully layered restorations. Monolithic Zirconia is available in seven shades, simplifying the reproduction of the tooth colour.

BruxZir®

BruxZir® Solid Zirconia is a monolithic zirconia material with no porcelain overlay, thereby making it resistant to chipping.  lt was originally intended to provide a durable, more esthetic alternative to posterior metal occlusal PFMs or cast gold restorations for demanding situations like bruxers, implant restorations and areas with limited occlusal space. Now, thanks to the new BruxZir® Shaded formulation, BruxZir® restorations exhibit improved translucency and colour similar to natural dentition, making them a restorative option in the anterior as well. Complete colour penetration all the way through the restorations ensures greater shade consistency and prevents any shade changes after occlusal adjustment.

BruxZir® Solid Zirconia is indicated for crowns, bridges, implants, inlays and onlays, screw-retained implant crowns and full-arch implant prostheses.Designed and milled using CAD/CAM technology, BruxZir® Solid Zirconia is sintered for 2.5 hours at 1,580 degrees celsius to achieve optimum strength. The final BruxZir® crown or bridge is then glazed to a smooth surface. BruxZir® Solid Zirconia crowns & bridges are backed by a seven-year free replacement warranty.

A PFM is a restoration that combines longevity and natural-looking internal characteristics, with the underlying coping providing the strength and stability of a natural tooth and the ceramic coating providing aesthetically pleasing results for patients.

Porcelain fused to metal can be used for both anterior and posterior restorations and the porcelain can be fused to semi-precious, precious or white high noble copings.

Gold continues to be the preferred choice for many clinicians due to its longevity and functional success in a wide-range of clinical situations.

Gold is the most biocompatible non-toxic metal used in dentistry today. It is non-corrosive and hypo-allergenic and its margins do not break or chip, even when thinned and polished. The wear rate and coefficient of thermal expansion of gold is very similar to enamel, thus ensuring a better natural fit.
